Solid Laminate are decorative laminates, used principally for interior surface applications They are chosen for their durability, design features, versatility and ease of maintenance. Residential applications include kitchen furniture, worktops, bathroom furniture and flooring.

High Pressure Laminate can be referred to in different ways, most commonly as laminate, plastic laminate, plastic veneer or the trade name Formica. Unlike solid grade laminate and Melamine Faced Chipboard which are largely self supporting, High Pressure Laminate needs to be bonded to a suitable base such as chipboard, to ensure structural stability.
