Premier Forest Products Scoops Top Award At Business Oscars

Directors of timber company Premier Forest Products scooped a top prize and were named the South's most inspirational and dynamic entrepreneurs this week at the South region final of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, held at The Radisson Edwardian Hotel, Heathrow, on Monday evening, 27th June.

Joint managing directors of Premier Forest Products, Terry Edgell, DilwynHowells and Nigel Williams, set up the company in 1993 when they recognised there was a need for a an independent importer of timber and timber-based products based in Wales.

Their ability to spot customer trends and respond to changing customer needs was the reason the directors won the prestigious Ernst and Young Business Products and Services Award – and their strategy and vision has resulted in a successful national business that has grown from £0 to 30 million turnover in just twelve years.

Competition for this award category was fierce, and Premier's directors, whose company imports and distributes a diverse collection of timber and timber-based sheet materials for UK consumption, were up against 32 other South-based entrepreneurs.
