Premier Forest Products Scoops Top Award At Business Oscars
The three directors are ecstatic about
their win, and Nigel Williams comments:
“We are thrilled to have come first in our category
in such a prestigious award scheme. This award was like attending the
business Oscars, and we were up against some stiff competition from
entrepreneurs from all types of industry. However, I think Premier's
strength lies in the fact that we are as passionate about timber and
finding timber solutions as we were when we first set up in business,
and our company has subsequently thrived because of this.”
Premier is by no means planning to rest on its laurels,
and the company is set for further growth as it is soon to open two
additional warehouses to add to its current sites in Newport, Stafford
and Hampshire. This will enable Premier to increase market penetration
in the UK, and reach its target turnover of £80 million by 2010.
Premier will now go on to compete in the National final
of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in October, where they will be
judged alongside other regional winners from across the UK.
Andrew Jupp, head of Ernst & Young's
South region entrepreneurial growth markets team, said: "Terence,
Nigel and Dilwyn's focus, determination and drive have made
Premier Forest Products a successful business. On behalf of Ernst & Young
and the programme's sponsors - The Times, Coutts & Co,
and the London Stock Exchange - I would like to congratulate all
the team and wish them the best of luck at the national awards in
October."
